PROJECT OVERVIEW
Studio is a web-based design tool built for Sticker Mule, designed to let anyone, designer or not, create custom stickers, labels, and packaging and go straight to checkout. The goal was to make professional-quality design accessible without a learning curve, while also driving more orders per session through smart template design.

CHALLENGE
The core tension: build something flexible enough for real creativity, but simple enough that a first-timer could open it and just get going. On top of that, the business needed users to order more — not just one product, but a cohesive set. Most tools make you choose between power and simplicity. We needed both.
SOLUTION
Two ideas drove everything. First, make every element editable, no locked-down templates, no dead ends. Users could tweak text, swap colors, and adjust layouts freely. Second, introduce template families — coordinated design sets that spanned stickers, labels, and packaging. If a user liked a design for their sticker, a matching label was right there waiting. Less friction, bigger orders. We also set clear design principles upfront so the template library could scale without quality slipping, top designers were hitting 150+ templates a month as a result.
